Now you've got a Tin Can Solutions Maxi Portable Phone Booster in your hands, we guide you on how to set it up.
Nextivity MyWave App
If you are having issues with phone calls dropping out or signal being really low even with the repeater working correctly and showing it has signal, you can download the MyWave app which will make the Cel-Fi follow the cellular band that your phone is on.
If the MyWave app does not fix your connection/signal issues, then the issue maybe that Cel-Fi is not repeating the bands in your area. You will need to check what bands are in the area as your phone may be picking up a band that is not covered by the repeater. This mainly happens in built up areas where there are many bands such as LTE 4G bands 1 and 7 coming from a cell tower or in 5G areas (as of June 2022) as Cel-Fi G31 and G32 are not designed to repeat bands 1, 7 and 5G in Australia yet due to the 5G band frequencies and a few other factors.
The premium Cel-Fi repeater for consumers and businesses.
For fixed in building installations, we highly recommend the Cel-Fi G41 over the G31 which is dual band repeater, meaning it will repeat 2 bands simultaneously and covers the LTE 4G bands not covered by a Cel-Fi G31 or G32. The other advantage of a Cel-Fi G41 repeater is that it can be used for either one of Telstra, Optus or Vodafone, so if you change phone providers, just connect via the Wave app and change its settings. The G41 can also connect to a data network via ethernet cable and we can monitor, as a service, its status via our Nextivity Wave portal dashboard.
